🔔TEFAF finally opened its doors again and we at ARTE Generali enjoyed every minute! During our stay, we organized a panel discussion with Apollo Magazine: "How AI is changing the way we look at art".
Moderated by Edward Behrens, Editor of Apollo – The International Art Magazine, we had art experts Carina Popovici, CEO of Art Recognition, Rob Erdmann, Sr. Scientist Rijksmuseum, and our CEO Jean Gazançon share the stage to discuss the issue of forgery and detection in the art world. Many different views were expressed during the passionate discussion, however, all experts agreed that technology plays a vital role yet is not the solution to everything.
Jean Gazançon, CEO of ARTE Generali: "Being at TEFAF today is always something special. Fake detection is absolutely essential in TEFAF, where the acquisition/control process is very strict in order to ensure that all parts presented are genuine. Today with modern technology and AI we are able to improve the level of detection of fakes and therefore, make the art market more secure and better insured".
