In addition, Arte Generali reflects Generali's expertise, heritage and DNA by building on the Group's leadership in engineering insurance and its tradition as a patron of the arts and culture can build up. I am very pleased that with Jean Gazançon we have been able to win a proven art and insurance expert as CEO of Arte Generali".

Jean Gazançon (50) is a graduate of Sciences Po (Institut d'études politiques de Paris) and brings extensive international experience from Europe, Japan and Latin America in the fields of art, art insurance and asset management.

Jean Gazançon, CEO of Arte Generali, emphasizes: "Arte Generali offers not only comprehensive insurance cover for art objects but also unique technological innovations. Members of the Arte Community have numerous opportunities to participate exclusively in vernissages and exhibitions, to network with other collectors and to discover interesting new artists. In this context Arte Generali has also entered into a cooperation with the DesignBuild project at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich.

PROMOTION OF THE DESIGNBUILD PROJECT IN THE PINAKOTHEK DER MODERNE

An important project supported by Arte Generali in cooperation with PIN. Freunde der Pinakothek der Moderne e.V., is the initiative "Experience in Action - DesignBuild in Architecture Education". From March 19 to June 14, 2020, the DesignBuild teaching method will be on display in a separate exhibition at the Pinakothek der Moderne, which will also show past experiences from around the world. For the duration of the exhibition, students of the TU Munich will construct a temporary building next to the museum, which will remain standing for several years from summer 2020. Arte Generali will be a partner of the project until the end of 2020. This structure will be an experimental space for art and architecture and will house workshops for children, students and adults, discussion groups, exhibitions and other events.

Prof. Dr. Andres Lepik, curator of the exhibition and director of the Architekturmuseum der TU München, says: "I am very pleased that Arte Generali supports our project, which combines the dimension of learning with its social role. DesignBuild offers students the opportunity to plan concrete projects and build them up in an interdisciplinary way, taking on the role not only of architects but also of project developers and social activists. I believe that the purpose of DesignBuild is the same as that of Arte Generali, as both try to achieve positive social impact through art in any of its forms".

Generali, the biggest primary insurer in Europe, promotes the preservation of cultural assets and has made it its business to look beyond its own horizons in order to assume sustainable responsibility for the future of society: In Germany last year Generali organized the magnificent exhibition "Florence and its painters. From Giotto to Leonardo da Vinci" in the Alte Pinakothek. Currently, Generali is the main sponsor of the special exhibition "Tiepolo - The Best Painter in Venice", which can be visited at the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart until 2 February 2020.
